Lightbulb Need low-profile Athlon cooling for rack case

My 2RU rack mount cases are too low for stock Athlon fansinks. There's only 2mm clearance. After 10 minutes at idle, the 1700+ CPUs are at 57-59°C! Last night I fired up a 3D game and one hit 66°C instantly.

The two chassis are going in a portable rack. The systems are for gaming in environments that are not consistently air conditioned.

Recommendations anyone? Koolance EXOS time?

This might work

This is one of the best heat sinks I have used for its size.

Try a mobile cpu like a 2200+ 35W of heat used in laptops, and the EXOS is horrible all externals are horrible lol.

Unfortunately that dynatron is 1mm taller than my AMD sinks.

Not interested in buying another pair of CPUs, thanks. The thread is entitled need cooling, not need new CPUs.

What's the prob with EXOS? I read a number of favorable EXOS reviews. I gots no issues with Koolance. One of my watercooled rigs is in a Koolance 601 case and its performance is most satisfying: CPU down ~25°C to 20°, and GPU down ~40°C to 35°.
