Hi whig...

Yeah, i have plugged the power cable to the graphics adapter...
when you look at the XFree86.0.log, it will tell me:
Fatal Server Error: no screens found.

But, everything is same as our another workstation.
Do you know how to load the module at the booting?

Linux 2.4 loads at boot modules specified in the text file /etc/modules, for 2.6 Mandrake it is /etc/modprobe.something (can't recall exactly). For some reason the nVidia X driver can't talk to its kernel module. This may be due to your somewhat aged kernel, or that it seems to be a SMP one.

add "noapic" to your /etc/lilo.conf file in the append thing, run lilo as root, reboot and try again, there is a thread here, from not too long ago, that had everything on it with mandrake 10 and nvidia, but it's noapic that solved my problem...

Hey Jeff check out my thread which goes into some solutions which worked for me.

http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=30484

The end of my log file also stated that the module could not be loaded.

I had to edit two files to get it working, it is one of the lower replies at the bottom.

P.S. make sure the power cord is securely attached to the nvidia adapter....
