GF3 to Quadro DCC~Performance....
I just moded my Gainward GF3Ti200 to Quadro DCC and I experienced HUGE! performance improvement in glxgears.
Before mod I had about 3100fps
After mod I have 4200 fps!!!
Then I start UT2004 and.....it was slower then what I had before mod.
So my question is why it is slower?
Linux is using only OnenGL so it should be faster but it isn't....
Wheels can take you around
Wheels can cut you down
We can go from boom to bust
From dreams to a bowl of dust
We can fall from rockets' red glare
Down to "Brother can you spare"
Another war, another waste land
And another lost generation

Re: GF3 to Quadro DCC~Performance....
In the past the main difference between Geforce and Quadro cards were optimizations in the drivers for highend apps like maya and further some extra features get enabled. Quadro cards can therefore perform a lot better in maya than Geforce cards. The optimizations don't help games and further performance in games gets a little worse. Things like image quality are more important than a few fps extra and maya optimizations likely undo gaming optimizations.
