Default GPU Temperature

Right, I've got a GeForce FX Go5200 (64MB if that makes any difference) and I can get a temperature reading using nvidia-settings.

Is there a way to get the temperature through proc or sysfs (I'm running a custom 2.6.6 on Debian/Sid by the way) so I can view the temperature through a ticker app or something similar? If not, is there something else I can do to get this info? If not, is this planned? If not, will it be planned now I've mentioned it? :P

Anywho, thanks all.

Chris

Default Re: GPU Temperature

The board manufacturer has to connect the GPUs internal thermal diode.

Most NV34 (FX 5200) board manufacturers don't connect the thermal diode since the additional components may bring up the retail price by 10%.
