Hi,
First of all: I have _never_ had any kind of AGP problems with previous nVIDIA drivers on my hardware, the problems have appeared with the latest release. The new 6106 drivers from nVIDIA don't work properly when I enable AGP. If I use nVIDIAs AGP driver (NvAGP "1"), I can start X, AGP working OK, but the kernel will always crash when I exit the session (the panic output is different each time). If I use the kernel-provided AGPGART driver (NvAGP "2"), the nVIDIA X driver will not initialize AGP at all, but everything works (without AGP). Essential info: GFX card: Asus V7100 Pro GeForce2 MX400 Chipset: Intel 815 Kernel: 2.6.6-1.435.2.3 (compiled with and without agpgart driver) (Fedora Core 2) FastWrites and SBA are both turned off. AGP rate is set to my systems max of 4. Lowering this does not help. My system has never had any stability issues, it's all pretty vanilla (and a little old). Please, if someone knows of any info that could help me, let me know, because I was really disappointed about this new driver release not working. I have attached the log-file generated by the nivdia-bug-report.sh script. oyvind |

Hi,
Just letting whomever might be interested know: I got it working. How ? Ditched the Fedora Core 2 kernel and installed a vanilla 2.6.8-rc1. Problem vanished. No more FC2 kernels 4 me. Øyvind |
