Default Slackware 10 TV-Out problem

Hello!
Two weeks ago I decided to install slackware 10, and the problem is that I can not use TV-Out from my Geforce4 MX 440 64MB. I have installed the latest nvidia drivers from Nvidia site, and I have modified xorg.cong according to the readme file that came with the driver, but TVOut doesn't work.

Device section from xorg.conf looks like this :

#########################################
Section "Device"
# no known options
Identifier "NVIDIA GeForce 4 (generic)"
Driver "nvidia"
VendorName "NVIDIA GeForce 4 (generic)"
BoardName "NVIDIA GeForce 4 (generic)"
Option "NoLogo" "on"
Option "TwinView" "on"
Option "SecondMonitorHorizSync" "30-50"
Option "SecondMonitorVertRefresh" "60"
Option "MetaModes" "1024x768,1024x768;800x600,800x600"
#Option "MetaModes" "800x600,800x600"
Option "TwinViewOrientation" "Clone"
Option "ConnectedMonitor" "CRT,TV"
Option "TVStandard" "PAL-B"
Option "TVOutFormat" "COMPOSITE"
BusID "PCI:1:0:0"
Option "CursorShadow" "on"
EndSection
#######################################

When I start the X, I can't see nothing on my TV. I have tryed to change
Option "MetaModes" "1024x768,1024x768;800x600,800x600" with Option "MetaModes" "800x600,800x600" but Tvout still doesn't work.

Is there any problem with the nvidia driver?
What can I do to make TVOut function work?
Thanx!!!

I have it working just fine on Slack 10 2.4.26 with 6.1.0.6 nVidia drivers and the latest Xorg (X11R6.7). Took me ages to suss that although I was PAL-I I need to use a VertRefresh of 60 rather than 50.

I haven't got around to tuning it yet but here's my xorg.conf for you to compare,
(M$ scroll optical mouse, M$ Internet KB, Packard Bell A727 monitor, MX4000 video card).

Thanx!
I'll try to modify the xorg.conf file.
I forgot to mention that I tried only on kernel 2.6.7.
Could it be possible not to work with kernel 2.6.x , and to work only with kernel 2.4.2x.
Is there anything that I should add when I compile my kernel(like Video for Linux) or something like that?

I have tried to modify the xorg.conf file, but with no luck.
As you see, Option "SecondMonitorVertRefresh" is already 60 in my xorg.conf file . I tried to modify that too(with Option "SecondMonitorVertRefresh" "50", or Option "SecondMonitorVertRefresh" "55", or Option "SecondMonitorVertRefresh" "65"), but then X failed.
The only thing that I could try now is to compile a 2.4.26 kernel to see what happens.
Thanx anyway.

Sorry for the delay fella.

I tried it on 2.6.7 and had problems getting X to start as well. The latest xorg.conf cured that.

As far as teh kernel is concerned, a stock one with the rivafb modules removed is all that you need to use the Nvidia driver.

Kernel 2.4.26 did not need the xorg update but i did it anyway.

You should also look at the X logfile, if you're encountering problems (or your TV stays black).
Maybe you can find there some detail which points you in the right direction.

I have the nVIDIA Geforce FX 5600 card with the TV-out option, and It works find under 800x600 using this setup under the "Device" section:

Option "TwinView" "on"
Option "SecondMonitorHorizSync" "30-50"
Option "SecondMonitorVertRefresh" "60"
Option "MetaModes" "800x600,800x600"
Option "TwinViewOrientation" "Clone"
Option "ConnectedMonitor" "CRT,TV"
Option "TVStandard" "NTSC-M"
Option "TVOutFormat" "SVIDEO"
BusID "PCI:1:0:0"
Option "CursorShadow" "on"

I am using Slackware 10 with kernel 2.4.26 and the default X.org Slackware install. However, like I said, I can only use a resolution of 800x600 or less. Perhaps its my TV that is limiting my resolution.
