Default Nforce2 Sound and Suse 9.1

I have matherboard with NForce2 chipset with Suse 9.1
I am using native Suse nforce sound driver...

On boot I see this:
Starting sound driver: intel8x0

In yast I in sound card I have:
nForce2 AC97 Audio Controler (MCP)

Why my soundcard plays only 2 channel sound???

Is there some NForce panel to edit nforce2 features.

I am using 2.6 kernel... thanx...

It is right that on linux nforce support is very basic. Only its ac97 audio codec (i810) is supported. The real spu is NOT supported. There's a little more advanced driver from nvidia (originally based on this i810 driver) but it won't bring much extra features. It perhaps gives the extra channels but it doesn't turn it into a real soundcard with hardware mixing and other stuff like it is on windows.
