Default Decresed performance on card change


Intel Pentium II 350MHz @ 500MHz
Debian Testing
gcc version 3.3.4 (Debian 1:3.3.4-3)
Linux 2.6.6 (own build)
XFree86 Version (Debian 4.3.0.dfsg.1-4 20040529113443 root@cyberhq.internal.cyberhqz.com)
NVIDIA Driver Version 1.0-6106.

Test with glxgears (about 160x160 pixels):

With Riva TNT2 M64 32MB - 200fps
With GeForce 2 MX200 64MB - 30fps
With GeForce 4 MX440 AGP8x 64MB - 30fps

First glxgears is no representive benchmark. Try to find the performance in more real applications like games (quake3) and things like that. Further 30fps is quite low are you sure you are using the nvidia drivers and have no crap like mesa on your system?
