Can we expect to see drivers for OpenGL 2.0 any time soon?

OGL2.0 Aka GLSL is already supported by Nvidia/Ati drivers and their respective Dx9 compliant video cards.

Then why does the driver report version 1.5? I'm talking Linux drivers (this is the Linux forum), I know that ATI's Linux driver's don't even support OpenGL 1.4.

Ah.. I'm not sure then. I know OGL2 is supported in windows on both ATi/Nv cards nowadays. Is there something like GLview on Linux?

OpenGL2.0 is OpenGL1.5 with extentions like GLSL and others. Those extentions are already supported by newest video cards but since OpenGL2.0 where officially released the last few days they (nvidia, ati, etc) couldn't "officially" support it. Maybe one of the next driver versions will report such support... but I don't think it does really matter.
