Default Fedora Core 3 Beta 1, unable to get hardw.acceler. working

I just installed Fedora Core 3 beta 1 (i know what beta means but...) however i'm unable to install nvidia's drivers.
I edited my /etc/inittap so my default runlevel is 3 instead of 5 which starts gdm.
After a quick reboot, i ran the installer. At somepoint i got a message that "Rivafb" is availeble on my system, and might cause trouble.
I found out that rivafb isn't loaded (lsmod).
Edited my x config, matching the settings as described in the readme. (removed dri, made shure glx is loaded)
rebooted, try to launch tuxracer ... but nothing happens.
what kindá info do you need more? i realy like to use hardware acc.
many thanks in advance
