Any clues on what may be causing this?
I am running Fedora Core 2 on a system with a Geforce Go5600. Everything works perfectly (drivers, GLX, X-windows). But every seven minutes or so, the display flashes for one frame with alternating rows of solid white and dotted white lines. It's as if some process is rewriting the video timing registers every seven minutes and 10 seconds (I've timed it!). This happens regardless of whether a full-screen OpenGL application is running (bzflag) or if the X-server is idle. Cheer, MichaelR |

I'm running Go5700 on Fedora Core 2 as well.
I also experience the problem. At semi-regular intervals, there is a flash on the screen. I've not timed the flashes but roughly 7 minutes sounds not to unlikely. This has been present since I've upgraded from normal unaccelerated drivers to nvidia's drivers roughly two months ago. I've keep updating the drivers at regular basis so I am running the latest driver as we speak. If there is any assistance nessecary to track the problem, I am willing to assisst to the full of my abilities. When I get home from work, I will supply the information suggested in the "If you have a problem, PLEASE read this first"-thread. |
