On the 3000g, using the 61.06 drivers, there is a flickering which occurs on slave cards when using both frame locking and stereo together. This does not happen when using the 53.41 drivers. Anyone else with some 3000g's experience this?
Thanks. -Javier Last edited by javier; 07-09-04 at 06:15 PM. |

I will check that out monday...
I have not tested framelock+stereo with the new drivers yet. If I find a fix I will let you know asap.

I have noticed that when the nvidia-settings program is running, any machine listed in the frame lock section will give the same flicker. This happens if stereo is on and frame locking is either on or off. Does this happen for you as well?

Right now I am only locking on two displays but plan on using more.
I hope this gets resolved soon. Everything I've tried doesn't seem to work. Have you had any luck testing it dulley? Thanks, rnewton |

I have emailed some helpful folks at nVidia and they are looking into it.

So what is the status of these problems? I'm a bit reluctant to upgrade our drivers if they have problems with frame locking, and the 3000G card is not even mentioned as being supported in the README supplied with the driver.

Currently nVidia says they cannot reproduce the problem, however I am still working with them to try to figure it out. It could be helpful if you tried these drivers and see if you get this problem as well. Since it's easy to switch between drivers, I don't think there would be any risk.
To add to what I said earlier about the displays flickering when the nvidia-settings control panel is running: nVidia knows about this issue and what causes it. Since it is the exact same kind of flicker, it seems like it would be a related problem. -Javier |

Correction, they do not work okay, the two slave nodes are flickering. What is the status of your contact with NVIDIA Javier, was it a bug on their side?
