shadows are disabled man these drivers im using really are noticably smoother and better lookin. Ill have to post to the dood and see if anyone else has this prob.

Game runs fine on my rig... P4 3ghz, 1024mb ddr400, radeon 9600xt 256mb... 50fps at 1024x768 with all details up.

Buggy POS ! 61.77's. even with my 6800 4x aa 8x af i get pauses etc. tried the sound trick didnt help in the least ! fricken game runs NO BETTER than it does on my 5900 .. very dissapointed !!!!

i cant run any AA or AF. if i do it lags bigtime. even if i run no AA or AF my 6800 lags. however with my 5900 if i turn AA and AF off. it runs fine ! go figure. funny part is. when i run the WWII mod i can run 4x AA 8x AF on either of my cards and it runs smooth as silk !

Have you tried playing around with your AGP Aperture Size? I had some pauses in games like Far Cry and bumping it up from the default 64MB to 256MB did the trick.

Also, I saw my friend have a similar problem on his 6800 Ultra and the problem went away after we dropped his overclock down a bit. Apparently there was some clock-throttling going on with his card. A few extra FPS isn't worth it a the cost of system stability IMHO.

This may or may not apply to your particular situation but I thought the information might benefit someone here.

UPDATE: Well, I guess you're kinda right re: 4XAA/lotsa AF...

I get 39fps @ 10x7, 27 @ 12x9, and 32 @ 16x12... funneh thing, with AA (2x OR 4x) along with AF, 16x12 performs better than 12x9...

Play the game with no AF OR AA for christ sake. Me and my bro play the game at 1600x1200 maxed out and it runs like butter and looks great.

yeh, with no aa/af i get 150, 108, and 78 fps respectively... also 49fps @ 16x12 with 16xAF as well... the new BF engine just doesn't deal well with AA and AF at teh same time... well, maybe it does better with something like an A64 3800 and 6800UEE
