From what I remember quake 3 arena ran very well with the card...I later upgraded to a radeon 9100 pci....fastest pci card to be found....until later when I got my old 2.66 GHZ machine WITH agp, I found out they had made a 5600 pci, but by then I was using a ti4200 with a sigh of relief. :::looks at sig::: i;ve come a long way since then...sniff sniff.

Anyways GF2 has my vote. But to be honest...I wouldnt even try gaming with any of those cards...i'd just put one in so u have video display and can surf the web, etc. Save the gaming for when u get the 6800 =)
browsing web? are you kidding? scrolling fast down a web page with many images causes a slight lag lol. i got my fingers crossed that fridays paycheck is big enough for me to get a 6800 GT

The GeForce2 MX is the best of that bunch. I remember when I had my MX 400. It wasn't that bad for a budget card. All three of those cards are relics though.

To be honest, I almost think AGP is overrated. Of course I'm sure it helps a lot with newer cards, but in most early cards it didn't really make a difference at all (hell, even the Voodoo 5 *only* used PCI bus speeds, and it still managed to be as fast as a GF2 AGP much of the time). I remember back when the TNT2 came out, I thought of AGP like I think of PCI-E now. So yes, a GF2 varient of any type will beat the crap out of pre-Geforce card, even if it is PCI.
