Cool - now I got something to mess around with when I am not watching football this weekend. I am also downloading the Tribes:Vengeance Beta right now.

I hope everyones game works :/ I logged on and played for about an hour, my game crashed twice. After the second crash it wouldnt boot up, so I delete game, folders blah blah and begin to reinstall game. As Im unzipping the contents into the temporary folder winzip tells me theres a couple damaged files, it did not do this one the first install a few days ago. I then redownload it from Fileplanet, suprise suprise this one is busted too. I have redownloaded the game, winzip hell even tried system restore, nothing works.
The thing that pisses me off the most is the only reason I got a fileplanet subscription was so I could get a guaranteed spot and no wait in line for this game. IMO this game is crap, and I await GuildWars 3 day event in October.

I played for about four hours last night and it to me just seems like your typical MMORPG so far, which I am really surprised by as I figured Blizzard to innovate atleast a wee bit. Don't get me wrong even in Beta this game feels more complete then some MMORPGs that have been released.

The graphics are a bit weak on the gee whiz wow effects I think, but I can understand that they are targeting a huge audience.

The audio is absolutely outstanding, the music sounds just like it came right from LotR. I was really surprised at how great it is.

I'm so retarded! I got home from work last night and didn't even bother checking on the status of the test, and never got a chance to get on the computer. So I check my e-mail this morning before work, and lo and behold, the damn test started YESTERDAY. I was angry. I had about 2 minutes to play it before rushing out the door, it seems pretty neat, though nothing distiguishing - yet.

And liquid, that supposed zip-file corruption is a known issue listed on Blizzard's main page. If you just use the built-in Windows zip extractor it works fine. A little patience goes a long way. I can't even begin to understand how you'll write off the whole game because of a tiny (and well-documented) issue that has already been solved.

I like it so far and I actually like the cartoony graphics.

For anyone here that is into Stereo 3D gaming - it looks absolutely beautiful in 3D and is almost perfect with the menus at screen depth!

Been playing for about 10 hours total off and on

thats odd considering I tried the same thing you said 20 HOURS AGO! If this is a "known" issue it would appear to me it should have been fixed in an installer that is only a few days old, or that might just be me being silly
