Hi,
I'm having a problem compiling the NVidia Driver kernel. I'm also new to Linux so I'm not too sure on anything. These are my specs: Distribution: Debian Kernel: 2.4.18fd Graphics card: Winfast Leadtek GForce4 4800SE 128MB MB: ASUS A7N8X Deluxe (nforce2) I downloaded kernel-source 2.4.18 of the Debian website then installed it and extracted its contents to /usr/src/kernel-source 2.4.18/ I ran NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-6111-pkg1.run --kernel-source-path /usr/src/kernel-source 2.4.18 This is the error I get. I have attached the whole nvidia-instaler.log but here is the acutual building of the kernel module where the error occurs: -> Building kernel module: executing: 'cd ./usr/src/nv; make module SYSSRC=/usr/src/kernel-source-2.4.1 8 SYSOUT=/usr/src/kernel-source-2.4.18'... echo \#define NV_COMPILER \"`cc -v 2>&1 | tail -n 1`\" > nv_compiler.h cc -c -Wall -Wimplicit -Wreturn-type -Wswitch -Wformat -Wchar-subscripts -Wp arentheses -Wpointer-arith -Wno-multichar -Werror -O -fno-common -UDEBUG - U_DEBUG -DNDEBUG -MD -D__KERNEL__ -DMODULE -D_LOOSE_KERNEL_NAMES -DNTRM -D_G NU_SOURCE -D_LOOSE_KERNEL_NAMES -D__KERNEL__ -DMODULE -DNV_MAJOR_VERSION=1 -DNV_MINOR_VERSION=0 -DNV_PATCHLEVEL=6111 -DNV_UNIX -DNV_LINUX -DNV_INT 64_OK -DNVCPU_X86 -DREMAP_PAGE_RANGE_4 -I. -I/usr/src/kernel-source- 2.4.18/include -Wno-cast-qual -Wno-error nv.c In file included from nv.c:14: nv-linux.h:48: linux/modversions.h: No such file or directory make[1]: *** [nv.o] Error 1 make: *** [module] Error 2 -> Error.
