Help editing the X server
Hi, I'am new to linux and I have tried installing the Nvidia drivers many times but when I type /etc/X11/XF86Config it doesn't let me edit what driver I want to use do i need to type something else infront of it? Or could you tell me step by step what to do after installing the drivers. Thanks in advace. =D

/etc/X11/XF86Config or /etc/X11/xorg.conf is a text file. you have to edit it as root.
if you got the midnight commander type 'mc' in console, move to this directory und press F4 on the conf file, then do a rtfm on the nvida manual which comes with the driver.
