The GT series at heart is a simulation but it does have an arcade mode with some available cars and tracks for those that dont want to unlock all 500 cars. Also the X-Box does have Halo2 coming but the PS2 has Metal Gear Solid 3 and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. See why its good to just have everything. ![]() |

From what I hear, its still more of an arcade game, with a decent physics engine... like Grand Turismo..

The only times I play a racing game are when I am playing it with some one else. I usually tend not to play it on my own (unless of course it is something like Carmagedon etc.) The best racing game in my opinion is always on a console in terms of fun.

I still get the kicks with Motorhead. Though its an old PC game now, i thought it was ahead of its time when it came out. I'm really looking forward to GT4 and i hope its a tad less understeery than the GT3 A-Spec (i'm also looking forward to driving the M5 prototype too
)

Gran Turismo is in no way an arcade racer. It is a Racing Sim.

Argh, thats what I'm afraid of. Would much rather have an XBOX over a PS2, its basically a pc in itself newayz. Like a lot more XBOX games too, isn't the new MK gonna an XBOX title? Hope so

Nah, Grand Turismo definantly is a good blend of an arcade game, with a decent physics engine in it too.. At least on the default settings that everyone plays on..
One obvious example is how forgiving it is on smoothing out your steering inputs... Play on a dual shock, and then do replay, with input display on, you can see how choppy your controls input can be, but still the car responds smoothly.. They obviously did it because its very hard to percise inputs with the dual sticks (but much better than pure digital) Else noone without a steering wheel would be able to control the game effectively.. If I also remember, shifts in middle of turns never unbalance your car either. Quote:
