Default Help setting up a PCI Quadro4 400 NVS Card under RHEL 3 WS

All,

I'm trying to use this card to drive 4 monitors without much luck so far. I've used the XFConfig.sample whcih helped to get the errors out of my XFree86.0.log but I'm still not seeing anything on the display but garbage. Has anyone successfully set up one of theses cards and do they have a Config file or anecdotal infor to relate.

Thanks,

Marc Mondragon

how did you enter the monitor in the config file ?
maybe you try "ignoreEDID" like mentioned in the readme file, this often helps, when the monitor shows scrambled screens.

This may help (my XF86Config), I'm also using the 6106 nvidia driver.

You can also try this. My config, I needed 3 individual frame buffers for the apps we are using, but you can comment out the Xinerama line.

I also found out that the nvidia drivers do not work with the SMP kernel in Redhat WS 3.0. I locks the system up, and you have to do a reboot to single user mode to correct the XF86Config. Is anyone else having this issue. I'm using the 6111 or rpm files from dell. Both have the same issue. The NVS 200 AGP card works fine in SMP mode, it is just the NVS 400 PCI card.
