I'm trying to install my nvidia mx4000 as described at nvidia, but Suse-9.1 only recognizes my board as VESA... I'm new Linux-Suse user.... Thanks for any help!

download the latest nvidia drivers. Then, by hand, edit /etc/X11/XF86Config (or XF86Config-4 if exists). If -4 doesn't exist don't worry about it. in VIM use / to search for "vesa" without the "'s. Chance vesa to nvidia. make sure in the modules section you have Load "glx" and Load "dir" specified. save, then try running startx and see what happens. By default if it loads you will see the nvidia logo on the screen before the desktop loads.
