I got the Collectors Edition pre-ordered at GameStop. Should be fun. The only suck part is I've never found a good reason to buy a DVD-ROM drive(why watch DVD's on a PC when I have a 42" plasma TV, a couch and a fiancee in the living room?).

So now, along with the CE I have to go buy a new drive. Now I gotta figure out how I sneek that by the check-book police

Great, it comes with a shirt that would probably just about fit Gabe Newell... =/

Hmm, $80 is a little steep, but I think this is the perfect time to cash in on that birthday present . Hope it releases this year though, my "free game" coupon from my parents is only good for a 2004 game, heh. I like the extras they're including, most collector's editions don't come with much extra, but then again most collector's editions don't retail for $30 more. Hope I can catch a pre-order deal or something at Gamestop, surely they must have SOME promotion going on in the next few months.

Edit: oh, and did anyone else notice that the collector's edition is coming with the DVD version of the game? Yay, no more disc swaping! I'm glad companies are switching over to DVDs now, maybe I'll finally be able to put my DVD burner to good use now

Sorry to rain on the parade but you may want to hold of on your pre-order. Interesting read from gamespot. It seems that VU has the legal right to hold HL2 for 6 months before approving it. Delay? I doubt it but still interesting.

Yay normal sized t-shirts. *Remembers Max Payne 2's*...

I'll probably just preorder it because I've got that $15 certificate from Doom 3 rebate laying around.
