Unable to have TV_out working
I've just installed the last drivers (6111) on my linux box. As always, I had no problem to have them installed and working in "single screen mode".
But I also tried to have the TV_out working under linux (this is my first attempt), as it's working perfectly under Windows with old drivers.
I've modified my XF86Config-4 file as suggested in the documentation, and I compared with what I found on the Net, but the X server always crash when I launch it. I really don't understand what I'm doing wrong.
I just would like to add the bug that didn't restore correctly the console is still present in this driver version (even if it's said to be corrected)
Here are my different config files and log generated:
content of /proc/driver/nvidia/cards/0
Model: GeForce4 MX 420
Video BIOS: 04.17.00.24.35
Card Type: AGP
content of /proc/driver/nvidia/version
NVRM version: NVIDIA Linux x86 NVIDIA Kernel Module 1.0-6111 Tue Jul 27 07:55:38 PDT 2004
GCC version: gcc version 3.2
The startx.log file was generated with this command:
startx -- :0 -logverbose 5 --xf86config XF86Config-4.twinview > startx.log 2>&1
My config is:
GeForce 4 MX 420
driver version: 1.0-6111
distribution: Mandrake 9.1 updated to 10.0
video bios revision: (see above)
processor: Athlon 1800 XP
motherboard: I don't remember (and I'm not at home)
So any help will be appreciate.
