Default "PCI Badness" FX5200 + Xorg

Nvidia Bug with 6111-r2? Whenever I load either ut2004 or doom3 (bzflag runs fine) they crash within minutes. the syslog spews out some "pci badness in search.c (can be appended if needed)). Is this a Hardware issue (time for a new card) or an nvidia driver issue?

This is a common issue, with seemingly different causes for different people. In my case getting a new card at the same time as installing better fans for the case seems to have fixed the problem. I actually ended up overheating my old card, which is why I needed the new one. Both were FX5200 cards. Usually the problem does only occur with the nVidia drivers, but it is probably not entirely a software problem. You can search the forums for more info; unfortunately some people seem to be completely unable to fix the problem.
