Anyone playing Joint Operations?

I find the game very entertaining, maps are huge, graphics are a treat - water is almost as good as FarCry

I guess on public servers most people get bored quite fast since you really have to work in teams to get things going.

40-50FPS at 1280x1024 w 4AA, 8AF on a 6800GT, btw.

The only thing I don't like about JO is that the graphics are terrible. I'm a graphics junkie so don't mind me.

I think JO is a good game. Problem for them is that market is crowded..you have the BF games with their popular mods (DC, EOD, ect) plus other types...

However I really liked JO and looking forward to their new expansion pack!

well, problem in return is that BF:V has no DC-like mod (yet) and the original DC for BF1942 got stuck at v0.7 a while back. I wish JO had a similar flight model for the helis as DC...it is actually a skill to fly the damn things.

I love JO. Really fun, good weapons, and massive battles. I go on servers with 150 players on at once and there's hardly any lag. Graphics aren't bad, I'm more concerned with controls and gameplay in multiplayer games and this game to me is great. I go under the same screen name YOGIx213 so if you see me, say hello.

how this game compares with Ghost recon ?

in gameplay and graphics? does it feel too arcadish or more realistic the game?

You know, I haven't really played Ghost Recon (I know, BLASPHEMY!!) but it seems pretty realistic. You don't see much of the rabbit hopping, you are weighed down by how much gear you carry. Also, head shots are instant kills while body shots vary from 1 shot to 2 or three. Not as realistic though as Rainbow Six (where every wound slows you down even more). Vehicles are easy to control as well. Since the maps are so huge, camping isn't a real problem. Snipers though have a field day on some maps due to an abundance of hills and open fields.

I really enjoy JO... got it for free with my 6800

. I wouldn't say I love it, but it IS a solid game. You'll never see me though, because I play strictly on New Zealand & Aussie servers.
