Default Gentoo, GeForce FX, and DVI

OK, I don't know if this is an Nvidia thing, or an x.org thing, but here's the deal.

Gentoo Linux 2.6.7-r26
Nvidia GeForce FX 5900 XT
Nvidia Driversion 6111
X.org

OK, the problem is that I'm trying to get dvi working. DVI is working, but only as a "second" display, ie, kdm displays on VGA, as does my "normal" kde configuration, and whenever kde pops up a window, such as when I hit alt+F2. I guess my question is: How do I make DVI the "Primary" monitor?
