Default Linux 2.6.9, NVIDIA working on support?

is NVIDIA going to work on supporting the Kernel 2.6.9? i'd think a new kernel release would be something fairly significant for them to try and work on supporting quickly...

They clearly know it is an issue.. so I'm sure they are working on it. Check the other 10 threads on this topic if you can't manage to get the patch working. I do not think it is a big priority for NVIDIA to fix this right now though, it's working flawlessly with the "fix."

i'm using Gentoo, which portage graciously had a patch for it already.. but i just got the thinking when someone said they still wanted proper support from NVIDIA. i do too now.. but this is fine, i've not noticed any problems with the patch.. no difference in performance really
