Mandrake9(again)

I know everyone is tired of this but here goes I d/l and installed the 3123 drivers.I did the make install and it said completed successfully on both.I edited the config file to read "nvidia" I then tied to startx and I got" tried to load module "nvidia"no module exists"It said it was using the right config file.What did I miss? These were tar files unless you havn't guessed doh.

The new driver release (1.0-4191) includes RPMs for Mandrake 9.0 that you should probably try. Download NVchooser.sh from the driver download page to find out which RPMs are right for your system.

How do I d/l from the console?I can't startx after trying to install 3123'sThanks but I would like to figure this out and in the process learn a little more about linux.

WOOHOO I reinstalled the drivers from tar and there it was the famous splash screen.I played Q3A but it would not go to full screen and it said my GF3 ti 500 was pci in the driver info in game and 3d was off and couldn't change it what now.I know this is simple but please bear with me here thanks
