Default Compile Problems

When I try to compilee the driver, it seems to compile ok, but then says it can't load the modules:

ERROR: Unable to load the kernel module 'nvidia.ko'. This is most likely
because the kernel module was built using the wrong kernel source files.
Please make sure you have installed the kernel source files for your
kernel; on Red Hat Linux systems, for example, be sure you have the
'kernel-source' rpm installed. If you know the correct kernel source
files are installed, you may specify the kernel source path with the
'--kernel-source-path' commandline option.
-> Kernel module load error: ./usr/src/nv/nvidia.ko: couldn't find the kernel
version the module was compiled for

(This comes from the Nvidia installer. It compiles the driver then gives me that error)

I'm not sure what this means. The sources are in /usr/src/linux and
the .config file is there.

Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks.

Default Re: Compile Problems

The kernel source in /usr/src/linux doesn't appear to match the running kernel.
