Where do you get replacement capacitors

I have the 5900se and capacitor c191 is broken. I've tried radio shack and a local electronic supply but no luck. I have a TI4200 that has a 16v 470uf cap, would that work?

I have been using DigiKey since the late 70's and can highly recommend them.

In general, a capacitor's voltage rating is the nominal voltage level that it is capable of handling. As long as you replace it with a similar type of equal or greater voltage rating you should be okay. If it is a 'can' type polarized capacitor be sure to maintain the correct polarity when installing the replacement.

Am I right in thinking those capacitors are for filtering DC current(as most large capacitors are)?

If this is the case, replacing it with a higher or equal capacitance rated for a higher or equal voltage, installed with the same polarity should work.(big capacitors are usually electrolyte caps, which need to be using the same polarity for durabillity, for those metallic jar type capacitors it's polarity is usually marked with a black triangle on the top over one of the legs, I *think* the marked side is the is the positive side).
