Unhappy No TV-out once X is started

Hi all,
I'm still a bit fresh to Linux and trying to get the hang of this... I just got a GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X for the sole purpose of allowing my TV to be the only monitor for my linux box. I installed the .6629 drivers and everything seemed to be okay. If I start up with my flatscreen and my TV plugged in, it will display on the flatscreen only. After logging in, I change the xorg.conf file to make the display go to the TV ("ConnectedMonitor" "TV" etc.). If I hit Ctrl-Alt-Backspace and restart gdm it works! However, if I then reboot, it will get as far as the point where it loads the graphical interface. The screen on the TV flickers for a second, turns black, and then loses the signal (blue screen).
I browsed through a million posts about TV-out problems but none of them seem to be the same issue. Everything works great with my flatscreen plugged in... My TV displays output from the time the BIOS kicks in until it starts the graphical load interface.

I've tried starting the system in init 3 and running startx manually but it craps out. The odd thing is that the Xorg.0.log seems to just stop. Here's a snippet:

I know that the tainted kernel thing is normal but I have no idea what the other thing is. Oddly, I don't get this error in my log if I start X with my flatscreen attached.

Here's my xorg.conf

Any help at all would be appreciated. I'm running Fedora Core 3 kernel 2.6.9 on a Dell 400SC server. If you need more details, let me know. Thanks!

Still no luck -- has anyone had a kernel problem like the one I describe above? Is there a way for me to get more information on why it crashed? *Any* help is greatly appreciated...

This looks like a NVIDIA driver bug; please send a detailed bug report (including the nvidia-bug-report.sh log file and any Oops logs you have collected) to linux-bugs@nvidia.com. Thanks.
