bug report on debian unstable
it crashed with 5900XT also with 5700
Driver Version: 1.0-6629 Operating System: Linux IA32 cpu athlon64 2800+

It looks like the NVIDIA kernel module simply isn't loaded; does it work if you manually load it with `modprobe nvidia`, first? If so, something like `echo "nvidia" > /etc/modules` should see to it that the module is loaded automatically after reboots.

Check the output of `dmesg` for additional information (bad version magic, ...).

You'll need to check the `dmesg` output right after receiving the Invalid module format error message.

ok i will try that tomorrow with an gf2mx, 5900XT and 5700 were not my cards so had to return them
