Default Crash on 2.6.10

This may be something restricted to my machine... But I upgraded to 2.6.10 last night and the latest Nvidia driver (6629) crashed my system. I have an ECS K7S5A, with Slackware 10, and X.org 6.8.1, as well as a GF3 Ti500. I've since reverted back to 2.6.9 and everything is fine (yes, I have recompiled the driver with each kernel change.)

I didn't nab any specific error logs (bad bad user!) for X11 but I did see some funny stuff in my syslog from the kernel. The specifics of my crash: screen goes black and you can't see anything. Monitor doesn't sound like it's trying to switch modes. The keyboard responds, and I usually give it a ctl-alt-delete.

Anyhow, might not be a prob in 2.6.10 (someone on slashdot had a similar setup in a comment and was running 2.6.10 along with the nvidia drivers just fine). It's more than likely some sort of pci option I have set incorrectly in my .config ... (notice the EIP line)... I'll try and get better logs:

You just rock. Merry Christmas! (And/or Happy Holidays.) I'll give it a try.
