Unhappy Mandrake 10.0 / Nvidia 6629 -> Freezes !!

Hi there !
I installed the latest drivers for my card (GeForce 2 GTS). A lspci tells :
Quote:
00:01.0 PCI bridge: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT82C598/694x [Apollo MVP3/Pro133x AGP]
I tried different things, and I finally get that :
Quote:
#cat /proc/driver/nvidia/agp/card
Fast Writes: Supported
SBA: Not Supported
AGP Rates: 2x 1x
Registers: 0x1f000013:0x1f000101
Quote:
# cat /proc/driver/nvidia/agp/status
Status: Enabled
Driver: AGPGART
AGP Rate: 1x
Fast Writes: Disabled
SBA: Disabled
And my config file is xorg.conf.
The log file was yesterday :
Xorg

My problem, now !
I can play, I can do lot of things, but as I start a game or watching TV, I can see the TV (or see the game intro), but neither my keyboard or my mouse does respond !

What is the problem, what else can I try ?
Thanks in advance for your answers !

Nobody can help me ?
When I run a Starcraft with cedega, it is very slow !
When I watch TV with XawTV, I can watch it, but the keyboard and the mouse are not responding !
That is quite difficult for me, I can't find any log that could tell me explicitely where the problem is

What can I try, what can I do, please help me !
Thx in advance !

@progfou
Hmm, you've a 694x Chipset? hmm, I've had one of those and the same problem with xawtv... so can you please check, if your tv also freeze your machine, when you start it with "-noxv -remote"?

BTW have you ever tried the free "nv" driver?

Well, it doesn't seem to resolve my pb.
I tried another thing: I installed the drivers on a Slackware 10, and... same thing !
Not only with xawtv, but other progs too !
And a question I had, then: if I try the 6111 drivers instead of 6229, will it be different, or no way ?

Thx again for your answers !

Edit: I tried the glxgears prog, and I only have 1230fps.
Is this normal, it seems to be slow, no ?
I have a 1Ghz PIII and 384Mbytes of RAM.
The result is the same under Mandrake 10.0 or Slackware 10.

This "mouse moves - keyboard froze" has been around for some time -as you might see this problem in different reincarnations. No solid solution yet - I am looking one for myself for about 6+ months.
I have tried Mdk-10.1, 10.0 , PCLinuxOS p8.

Let's wait for the next round of NVidia release - as they might address this acording to the post on another thread ( sorry can't remember the thread in this board - something involving Fedora Core3).

I have just seen something interesting in my nvidia-bug-report log file :
Quote:
/proc/interrupts
CPU0
0: 2317623 XT-PIC timer
1: 1807 XT-PIC i8042
2: 0 XT-PIC cascade
8: 1 XT-PIC rtc
9: 6822 XT-PIC bttv0
10: 197088 XT-PIC EMU10K1, nvidia
My SBLive card and my Nvidia cards are on the same IRQ ?
Can't it be a way to understand what happens ?
