Default 6800GT Gets extremely hot

When I'm running X-Windows, my graphics cards (6800GT) gets really really hot. When idling in X I get 65 degrees celcius! I'm using 66.29 drivers btw. If i play a game like X-plane it'll throttle and freeze!

When I run my video card in Microsoft Windows, the max temperature it ever gets is around 55 degrees or so. And its overclocked in windows! (but not in linux)

any ideas?
