Any ideas?

I tried version 6111, neither would make.

Thanks,

I've exactly this same error. My configuration: Slackware 10.0, NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-6629-pkg1, kernel 2.6.10-mm2. I tested with kernel-headers from my 2.6.10 ang generic 2.6.9. It dosn't work. I don't know what's wrong ? (with my pervios kernel 2.6.7 all was fine)

looks as if nV pooched this one, ive been searching and this does not seem to be a distro-related thing, there are several distros that have this same issue, and it seems that no one has a definitive answer, I have tried all the 'solutions' and tho they have worked for some, im still here looking at the same screens MY fustration is here: If I do make install, the install fails at the nvidia.ko, the error msg says that the file is not there.....I surf to the folder.....AND ITS THERE!!!! what gives?? will keep an eye on this thread....wished i knew more about the OS.....what happened to the good old rpms
