Thats cool.
I have the latest version on my PC too. Just haven't used it much ever since SP2 came around.

Yeah I think where many here are coming from (in strongly praising Firefox and griping about IE) is that in their line of work they may have to support end users' PCs. "Joe User" that is either poorly informed or (just not very smart) can bring a lot of headache upon themselves and those that support them more easily with IE than with Firefox.

Yeah I totally agree with that. It takes a bit of extra tweaking to get IE to run secure as it should be. The new Microsoft AntiSpyware and Norton Internet Security are really handy too

I don't really have any gripes at all about IE. Like a lot of others, I simply prefer the features and flexibility of Firefox. Overall, there are a few issues Firefox still have left to work out (some Javascript, Flash and other plugin problems) but the added security, tabbed browsing and extension support are tops in my book.

All I know if that ever since I stopped using IE(even with SP2) I haven't found a single piece of spyware. That alone is more than enough for me to never use it again.

Guys I didn't mean to kill the thread. Just thought I'd post some test results of mine
![]() I've been using Firefox more often now and its beginning to grow on me. I really like those extension support too. The bandwidth tester is really handy. No longer need to go to a website to check my bandwidth!

only prob i've had with firefox is with tabbed browsing, it eats more and more memory with the more tabs you have opened BUT.. it doesn not free that memory after you close the tabs... you need to close firefox completly to free it. ( it will free some from closing the tabs, just not asmuch as it used to open it) I'm sure they will fix this bug soon though.
