Question How do uninstall games with steam?

Just wondering as I'd like to free up some hard drive space that HL2 and HL2: DM are sucking up. I assume just delete their respective folders?

thx

Right click the game in steam and go into thier properties, then just click the "Delete local Game Content" button. It will remove it from the active list and delete the cache file (the actual game folder has very little data in it).

Then if you are a Steam user, and want to get them back, you just re-acquire the content later from Steam.

Or buy some bigger hard drives so you don't have to delete your games, you low-hard-drive-space-person.

eh, why bother... If you're not going to play a certain game anymore, get rid of it. You may find it hard to believe, but 40GB is more than enough, the vast majority of the time (for me at least)...

I know what you're saying though. I have 200gb drive here (189gb). After moving all of my music and videos onto it (45gb worth) and installing visual studio 2005, cygwin, and all my games. I finally just got rid of all the games I don't play anymore.

No reason to have 3gb worth of a game you havn't played in 3 months.
