Really? Huh, either you're unlucky or I'm lucky then, because on my playthrough of the unpatched version the only major bugs I ran into were things that were fixed in the patch (the Leopold crash and the Gangrel Protean transformation bug).

Blizzard? They don't make RPGs, they make clickfests. As for the Elder Scrolls, deep in gameplay/non-linearness, shallow in story. Here's a sword, go do crap. Arg.

Bloodlines is one of my fave games of all time, the script and the bits of humour in it and everything were great, everything about it ruled except the bugs (which I had to play the game through with because I got it right away) but oh well, it was still really fun, one of the first games I got when I got my 6800GT, its sad it didnt have a huge following and push the company into a bigger light.

That would be very cool. Especially if they adopted a steamesque downloading scheme (to eliminate the publisher).

That way, you'd have the best talent working on the best RPGs, and they could release the products when they are ready.

They would make all the profit and thus would soon have the resources to do some truly unprecendented things with their talent (an Unreal Engine 3 sequal to PLANESCAPE TORMENT, BABY!!!!)

My only request would be that the delivery system was just that, a way to get the goods to the customer, and no more than that.

Maybe an activation scheme like XP, which is painless, quick, effective, and, once activated, FORGOTTON. No program sitting in the tray, no internet communication unless specified by the user, and an option for strictly manual updating.

That would be near perfection.

Too bad Obsidian had to cut KOTOR2's original ending sequences short to meet a Christmas release date. I read loads of scripted text sequences, the ending was originally very extended and obviously better.
