Gonna have to say the latest and last game by Troika, Bloodlines... despite all the bugs in the gameplay, it was put together very well, I thought it was artistic.

Yesterday I've found some old floppies of "Midwinter 2".

Back in the ages of Amiga 500 you could say that was a truly masterpiece: a rich 3D enviroment (well, it had to run on a 7 MHz 68k CPU...), a perfect mix of strategy/action/simulation genre and a virtual, almost alive world.

We need more games like that and less multi million dollars insipid sequels.

Ico | happens to be my fav game as well.

Tekki (Steel Battalion) | haven't gotten to play it myself, but imo the style and rendering engine of the game although technically not perfect, are above
stuff like Mech Assault.

Have to agree with the folks that said Alice...that game hands down is one of the most memorable gaming experiences i've had...even though the game was so-so the art style and presentation really made it what it was...

Oh yeah, forgot about that one. I like the mech designs in that game, one of the only that actually has a semi-realistic style for them. It seems like a lot of games/animes/shows have really silly looking mechs that are somehow able to move with agility of a human even though they're supposed to be 100 ton walking tanks.
