ps2/xbox emulators

Are there any working ps2/xbox to pc emulators out there? I wouldn't mind trying one for the fun of it but I doubt any good ones exist...

xbox is no. PS2 is pcsx2. Runs a few games at 5 FPS. Emus won't be playable until next year.

There is some Xbox emulator out there, think it only runs Turok and a few demos sofar, dunno if its still updated tho..
cant remember its name atm..

for emu fun try ePSXe (PS1), and load up Tekken3 or Gran Turismo 2 and play @ hi rez with AA/AF...

Why not use Chankast and play DC Games at nearly Full Speed with High Res!

I cant believe people cant get XBox games to play flawlessly on a PC. I mean, you can buy almost all of the XBox parts at any PC parts store (hell, you could 3 years ago). They must have put some insane security on those disks to prevent them from working on anything but an Xbox.

It baffles me when people get LINUX on the XBox, but they cant get its games working on a Windows PC. Maybe theres some way to get the XBox OS onto a PC, then they might work. Other than that I guess we're all doomed to play these games at super low res at mediocre frame rates

The games aren't very secure actually (theres an ISO9660 incompatibility present, probably designed to prevent people from ripping audio cilps, sprites, textures, models, etc. but it is easily worked around.) The biggest holdback that I am aware of is the nvidia gpu which isn't similar enough to the PC counterpart.

exactly, afaik the Microsoft DDI was changed as well
