Default No display outside of X

My problem is the following, if i boot up in runlevel 3, everything is ok, i have acces to the console, but if i startx, and then logout (or if i try to go back to init 3 after booting in init 5) my screen wil simply go blank, displaying nothing at all (like when the computer is closed)
I can type and all (like telinit 5, sent me to my longon list ok, and everything came back on, but as soon as i leave X, no more display!!!

EDIT...

I am running on Mandrake 10.1 PowerPack, using the supplied Nvidia Drivers...

Could you please post your xorg.conf? I have the same problem but I'm not able to solve it...
Where can I check which is the right BusId of my video card?
Where and what I have to write to enable the BusId option?

My edited XF86Config is attached.... what is my mistake?

Thanks!

to check for the right busid
use
scanpci
and look for your video card in the list

I'm not sure if this is what fixed my problem for sure, i will post my xorg.conf later today.

I currently got it to work with my tvout but not using twinview, i explicitly declare each monitor , device and screen, with the final result of booting in a dual screen, each with its own X screen (not connected together (yet) except for the mouse)

EDIT....

Here is my Xorg.conf file

i currently have two separate desktop, since i didnt manage to make twinview work, but i didnt try in a while (since i fixed my dual screen)

well hope it can still help
