Default Problems with GeForce 5200

I actually have an amd64 processor with a Asrock K8 combo-z motherboard (because my old processor died ) and my graphic card is a GeForce FX5200.

Yesterday, I installed the first x86_64-native linux distro (a mandrake 10.2 beta).
Everything well.
Then, i installed the latest amd64 nvidia drivers for linux, with the last patch, i configured the xorg.cong...
And the trouble begins.
First, the resolution, is crazy, i cannot set it properly, and when i reboot it changes to another one lower, or with a lower refresh tase (50hz).
I attach a photo that shows a 1280x1024 ressolution, where you can see how the desktop is eated by the sides.

And also, I have other problem that comes of my old equip (amd 1600). When I had it, i had a Geforce 2 MX400 , perfect with the nvidia drivers in mandrake 10.1 powerpack. One day, I change it with my current GF 5200, and it did a problem that persist with this new system and drivers.
When i triy to acced to the init 3 (text mode), it shows in the screen the words distorted and big, it makes it unusable. This apears too when i shut down linux. I have attached a photo too (with a camera).

Thanks! and excuse my poor english :-)
