There are no official nvidia solaris 10 rivers. The driver you need to use is the opensource nv driver which I think is bundled with the X.org version used in solaris. In the near future nvidia might release a solaris driver though (just read the job offer on this forum and you'll see that they are looking for people with linux and solaris experience).

I still cant get the resolution to get any bigger, and I cant change it at all... Is this the meaning? Do I have to have the correct drivers to make this work or can I use a different ?
Anyone have a link? First timer Xconfiger.....

Haven't used solaris 10 but I know that it ships with X.org. In that case it means that there's some X configuration file. On linux this useally is /etc/X11/xorg.conf but don't know what this is on solaris. Inside you need to change driver in the "device" section to nv likely it is on vesa or something else.

Sun's dual Opteron workstations ONLY ship with Nvidia cards (2d all the way up to the highest end Quadro... well at least the ultra 6800 variant). So... I'd say that Sun has Nvidia driver support.

Solaris 10 does not have a xorg.conf file like Linux does. In Linux you have /etc/x11/xorg.conf file where the X configuration is stored.
In Solaris 10 you have to run /usr/X11/bin/xorgconfig from a terminal while NOT logged into X, reply to the questions and then you will get an xorg.conf file. You then can edit the file as you feel fit and move it to /etc/X11 to get a custom xorg.conf in Solaris 10.

Try out different options in the xorg.conf file and see if you can get a better resolution.

Sir
I am currently on Solaris 10 with an NVIDIA G4 MX440. Current resolution 1280x1024.
During the install I set resolution via boot up screen (you can access with escape) it will make you crawl down the list via escape 2 until you get to resolution up arrow to 1280x1024 16m.
Works ok but NVIDIA drivers would be nice instead of generic nv with no accel.
