Post X splits up in two : NVidia 6629 AMD64 HP Zv5000

Hello world

I'm using linux gentoo 2.6.9 on AMD 64 3200+ with a Geforce 440 64mo, and installed nvidia drivers this way.

At first, I had a problem similar to this one.

I solved it with disabling EDID support in xorg.conf

But, right now, the problem is that my screen is horyzontally split in the middle by a white band, and I see it twice (and I haven't drunk anything for some time) : above the band and below it...

I've tried this solution found on this forum, without any success.

The thing that's really weird to me, is that when using Xorg's generic "nv" driver, evrything is OK, but when I use "nvidia", I get a split screen.
Xorg's log is joined in a compressed format to this post (I used "-logverbose 5" option).

I just thought I should add that Zv5000 comps are labtops...
