I've searched till I'm going nuts. Nothing seems to work for me.
I've got a Asus AGP V7100 DVI (GeForce2 MX400) card with VGA and DVI outs. My monitor is a Hyundai L90D+ LCD. OS is Fedora Core 1. I got the latest nVidia drivers. It works great with the VGA connectors. But I cannot get anything with the DVI connectors. I've practically memorized the XF86Config man pages and the nVidia readme for their drivers but nothing works. Most of that info refers to Xwindows, etc. anyway. But I'm not getting anywhere near that far. On bootup, the BIOS is in control and that's always pure VGA mode anyway, right, so if I can't see anything on the screen then, there's not a lot of hope for X, TwinView, etc. When it boots with the DVI hookup, the monitor does go back and forth between the blue "No Input" screen and an all black screen like it's getting something from the card, but that's all. Should it even be POSSIBLE to have only the DVI connectors hooked up and get it to show the initial boot up info on the LCD? Hopeing someone can help me see the light on this problem I've spent days on with no luck at all. Thanks in advance for any pointers, utah Mike Jewell |
