My 5.1 sound on my linux machine (Kernel-2.6.10-5-amd64 / Ubuntu Hoary 5.04 ) don't realy work. I have installed Linux nForce AMD64 Version: 1.0-0301
The Subwoofer makes no sound. Front and Center works great. Rears is very undertone. If i open the nvmixer, under information stands nothting (is that right?) and if i set it from headphones to 5.1 System and want to set the volume from subwoofer there comes an error. " Volume Set Failed " In the mixer stand with OSS something with Realtek. With Alsa something called NVvidia CK8S. My Mainboard is Gygabyte GA-K8NS Socket 754 (nForce3 250 chipset) ...someone have any ideas? |
