Lightbulb Searching for the perfect NVIDIA-Card for DualHead-Setup

Hello Guys - sorry for starting a new thread, I didn't know where to post the question.
I'm searching for a cheap NVIDIA-Card that should
  • Run with Linux. (Just with Linux...)
  • be fast enough for a Dual-Head Setup
  • be supported by the NVIDIA-Linux driver

I'm currently running with a Radeon 7000 and the Standard-Xorg-Driver 'radeon' - which is really too slow, especially with Two Monitors attached.

Don't get me wrong - I do not(!) need a fast GPU for Gaming or a lot of 3D Graphics.
It should just be fast enough to move one window from the first to the second head without leaving stripes all over the over windows.

The Card I could imagine is the GeForce MX4000 (Asus V9400-X/TD), which has VGA + DVI.

At least - sorry for my bad (school-)english.
If there is any question, please tell me - I will try to answer it.

Thanks a lot,
bascht

It doesn't really matter what videocard you buy all support twinview. I understand that you don't need very fast 3d but I wouldn't spend my money in a mx4000 (gf4mx) as it isn't that fast in 3d. For not that much more you have a fx5200 (which is faster) or for a little more extra a 6200 which is a lot faster. (it are "cheap" cards)

Thanks a lot!

I'm looking forward to come back to NVIDIA.
The Card that will probably make it is the AOpen Aeolus FX5200-DVI128.

Btw. Does The NVIDIA-Linux-Driver should support this one?
(I will only use it with Linux, therefore it's really important.)

I used a 5200 in linux for years, and it had dvi/tvout like that one, only thing ive found is (maybe its just my card) but I couldent use a distro with a graphical only installer, and had to go in to a text login before I did anything to remove DRI from xorg.conf, or before anything was even loaded it would lock. other than that not a huge price to pay since once ya get the drivers installed and everything set, they are without a doubt the most stable on the market.
