is the plextor px-712sa ATAPI dvd rewriter supported under the sata_nv driver (is this even maintained by nvidia?). I am having problems with it. relevant dmesg bits are:
Code:

I find a partial solution somewhere : you have to edit the libata.h file in /include/linux to enable atapi support in libata :
change : #undef ATA_ENABLE_ATAPI /* define to enable ATAPI support */ for : #define ATA_ENABLE_ATAPI /* define to enable ATAPI support */ and compile your kernel. i tried it and it works except that after recognizing my Drive, it still didn't configure it i get a timeout error. my drive firmware is 1.06 i tell you this because i get that trick from someone having the same problem and for whom it fixed it. but he has intel chipset and firmware 1.04. maybe many other differences, but if you try it and find it's working please tell me so i'll maybe have more ideas what to do now. |
