Default TwinView resolution - larger on monitor than TV?

Hi,

Is it possible to configure twinview in linux with a large monitor resolution and a smaller TV resolution. I like to run my monitor at 1600x1200, but my TV won't go higher than about 1240x768. Is it possible to make this work?

The problem I have seems to lie with the MetaModes option in xorg.conf. I have read that it is the modes for both monitors. Is there a way to make it work?

Thanks
