Angry 7174 on 2.6.11-1.14_FC3 breaks DVD-R

After updating my system (Fedora Core 3 / AthlonXP) to latest official kernel
2.6.11-1.14_FC3 and nvidia driver 7174, I cannot read data DVDs (DVD-R).
Trying to mount the disk results in the following messages (in /var/log/message):
Apr 15 13:32:41 localhost kernel: ATAPI device hda:
Apr 15 13:32:41 localhost kernel: Error: Illegal request -- (Sense key=0x05)
Apr 15 13:32:41 localhost kernel: Cannot read medium - incompatible format -- (asc=0x30, ascq=0x02)
Apr 15 13:32:41 localhost kernel: The failed "Read Subchannel" packet command was:
Apr 15 13:32:41 localhost kernel: "42 02 40 01 00 00 00 00 10 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 "

It works with data CDROM:

Apr 15 13:33:58 localhost kernel: cdrom: hda: mrw address space DMA selected

It also works with DVD-R if I 'telinit 3' and 'rmmod nvidia'.
Everything worked fine with kernel-2.6.10-1.770_FC3 / nvidia-6629.

[dima@localhost ~]$ cat /proc/driver/nvidia/cards/0
Model: GeForce FX 5200
IRQ: 11
Video BIOS:
Card Type: AGP
[dima@localhost ~]$ cat /proc/driver/nvidia/agp/card
Fast Writes: Supported
SBA: Supported
AGP Rates: 4x 2x 1x
Registers: 0x1f000217:0x1f000104
[dima@localhost ~]$ cat /proc/driver/nvidia/agp/status
Status: Enabled
AGP Rate: 4x
Fast Writes: Disabled
SBA: Disabled

Any help would be appreciated.
